Happy May

And now for something completely different. Maybe it is a bit unusual here in the blog to share animal images. Because animal photography is actually not my favourite topic with a few expectations. But I love walking in nature and last weekend I saw by surprise the above bird resp. a couple of birds. So I think it is good way to welcome the merry month of may after really changeable weeks in april.

I am wishing you a happy may with light and sun in photography.

  1. Lieber Stefan, das Foto ist SUPER. Es ist ein Graureiher.

    • Toll!

Danke Mick.

  3. Such a gorgeous creature! I would surely love to happen upon this stunning bird and get a snap shot! Happy May Stefan, one of the most beautiful months in the year!

    • I was walking on a small lake and looked for interesting scenes in nature. I never thought to met or to shoot birds. Because animal photography in general is so difficult. And you can´t talk to the bird to ask for sit down. Finally I had luck. Sometimes it happens…And the bird made my day. Now I am looking for the merry month of may and for sun and light.

      • I’m very glad you happened on this wildlife. The result a stunningly beautiful photograph. After a very long drought we finally had a downpour yesterday. I planted some Hibiscus to celebrate. :). Have a great day Stefan

      • The month of april was really changeable and finally too cold. I hope that with the begin of may the spring with mild temperatures and sun will return quick.
        I like Hibiscus 🙂 Enjoy!
        Have a nice evening, Holly.

  4. To you as well Stefan

  5. Dear Stefan. I hope you have a very pleasant May too with lots of sun in soul and photo 🙂 Your heron is a wonderful specimen ❤

    • Thank you dear Hanna. I hope that the spring will return quick. Because it is too cold and I am missing the sun and mild temperatures.
I was on a small lake and never expect to see a heron but some things happen and I was happy to capture the wonderful bird.
